The South American Football Confederation (Conmebol) and UEFA today announced new joint events following the “success” of the Grand Final between Argentina and Italy.
The agreement between South American and European football now includes an international Futsal tournament with host Argentina, a women’s final and an intercontinental youth tournament.
This was reported by both confederations in a statement highlighting the “success” of the Grand Final with “sold out tickets” at Wembley Stadium in London.
How’s the program going?
The common agenda will continue on August 21 at the Centenario stadium in Montevideo when Peñarol, champion of the Copa Libertadores Sub-20, will face Benfica, Portuguese, winner of the youth Championships.
Then, between 16 and 18 September 2022, the Argentine Futsal team, champion of the Americas and second world championship, will host the “Final Four” at the Movistar Arena stadium in Buenos Aires.

Portugal, champion of Europe and the world, Spain and Paraguay, runner-up of America will participate.
Finally, at a later date, there will be a women’s final among the selected champions of Europe and America, whose tournaments will be played in July respectively in England and Colombia.
