Pierre-Olivier Zappa, presenting the show About your business at LCN, will replace Sophie Thibault as anchor of VAT 22 h from Monday to Thursday.
For Michel Jean, he will continue to run the noon news bulletin on TVA.
A TVA journalist for 34 years, Sophie Thibault was, in 2002, the first woman to anchor a television newscast in North America.
So he will replace Pierre Bruneau, who announced two months ago that he would retire on June 16, although he will be on the air this fall to cover the provincial election campaign.
