For her second consecutive year hosting the Gala Québec Cinéma, Geneviève Schmidt will highlight the memories that bind members of the Quebec cinema community to their passion for the big screen.
After a virtual presentation in 2020 and a gala in front of a smaller audience last year, the ceremony is being held this year in a full room, which is in the mythical studio 42 of Radio-Canada’s huge tower. The latter is hosting his last gala for the occasion as the public broadcaster has now moved into the new Radio-Canada house, being built near the big tower.
Finalist films can be watched for free
Québec Cinéma has decided to offer a catch-up session to those who have not yet seen this year’s nominated films by posting online for free (New window) a selection of finalist films, i.e., 15 short films and 19 documentary or fiction feature films.
The public has until Tuesday to (re) discover Maria Chapdelaine, The perfect victim, maria (with Mariana Mazza), Beans, Bootlegger o Sat.with Antoine-Olivier Pilon.
