“Lanata approached a gallery through a lady named Diana García Calvo to purchase the works. He went to buy three paintings. What this lady, the gallery owner, told him was ‘this work is an oil painting on board, it doesn’t have a title but last year we sold one very well’. According to this woman, the author was already deceased and they are works from around 1945. I think he bought two for $ 45,000 and one for $ 50,000“, reported Paula Varela in show partner (El Trece, at 11 am).

And he continued: “Jorge, happy, bought the works and took them to his crazy house. He took the oil and put them away. Suddenly, he said: ‘I want to sell’. He looked for them, someone he saw them and told him sorry, you got screwed here, this is not fair. This work is the trout, It is not an oil painting, it is the tempera of kindergarten children, this is wrong.

The journalist then explained that Lanata went to the gallery where she bought the works to talk to those who made the sale. “They told him ‘look, the only owner of these works is this’. His name is Enrique Eduardo Núñez, which they would not have found today. ‘The cards are there, we gave you the certificates’They also told him that when these works of art are sold they are sold with certificates of authenticity, “he explained.

According to Varela, to settle the situation, Lanata “received 20 thousand dollars and another work by another author”. “He went home happy, but when, already alive, he saw what this new job they were giving him was like, they told him ‘they cheated you again’“added the speaker.

“They claim 46 million pesos”, Rodrigo Lussich told about the legal claim that the lawyer is pursuing.
