Series produced by Netflix reached the Disney+ catalog in the United States
Disney+ in the United States is removing honors paid to some names in certain episodes of Marvel produced series, such as “Luke Cage”.
Names like Stan Leefor example, were honored at the end of black-screen episodes, and such moments were cut when the series hit the Disney+ catalog.
A specific case generated outrage in the creator of “Luke Cage”, Cheo Hodari Coker. The actor Reg E. Catheywho in season 2 plays Luke Cage’s father, died in 2018, a victim of cancer, and was honored in the series.
The homage was completely removed, and coker took to Twitter to express his anger, check it out:
I mean, why do this? Reg E Cathey was part of the heart and soul of Season Two. We didn’t feel obligated to dedicate the season to him just because he died — we felt obligated because we loved him and he was a galvanizing force. https://t.co/KF87ffQldH via @BoundingComics

“My point is, why do this? Reg E. Cathey it was part of the heart and soul of the second season. We weren’t obligated to dedicate the season to him just because he died, we felt obligated because we loved him and he was a nurturing force for us.“, he said coker.
We at CineBuzz got in touch with Disney+’s advisors in Brazil and, at the moment, there is still no confirmation that the series will be integrated into the catalog of streamingso we will have to wait a little longer to be able to check the series again.
