The words of the Anishinaabe artist Émilie Monnet, but also of the author Evelyne de la Chenelière or the late writer Nelly Arcan will resonate on the Montreal stage of the feminist theater Espace Go during its 2022-2023 season.
Artist in residence at Espace Go for a second season, Émilie Monnet will sign two creations: Okinumwhich will be presented in October, and Neecheemuswhich will be shown to the public in January 2023.
Immersive show combining theatre, sound and video, Okinum will offer an intimate reflection on the inner barriers, that is to say illnesses, which form in our bodies. Émilie Monnet will perform this show with musician and videographer Jackie Gallant. The two women will direct it with dancer, choreographer and artistic advisor Sarah Williams.
In Cree, Neecheemus means my love and this will be the title of this show in which women of different generations will evoke love and eroticism through words or an artistic gesture to music signed by Frannie Holder, also known for being part of the bands Random Recipe and Dear Criminals .

Another creation to come at Espace Go: The night treatment, by Evelyne de la Chenelière. Anne-Marie Cadieux, Lyndz Dantiste, Marie-Pier Labrecque and Laurent Lucas will play the characters in this play directed by Denis Marleau.
Running from March 7 to April 2, this tragedy will revolve around four characters: Bernard and Viviane, a couple; Léna, their daughter, and Jérémie, their new gardener. Léna and Jérémie will begin to consider killing Bernard and Viviane.
Espace Go will also present, in September, The art of livinga work written by Liliane Gougeon Moisan, winner of the Gratien-Gélinas dramaturgy prize in 2019.
Directed by Solène Paré, Simon Beaulé-Bulman, Larissa Corriveau, Raphaëlle Lalande and Tatiana Zinga Botao will play young adults who move into condos in the same building. These young professionals, who are fans of decoration, organic food and physical exercise, will find themselves pushed towards a return to nature.
The Montreal theater will end its season in May with Listening to an emotion, by author and director Marie-Laurence Rancourt. This piece on desire will take the form of a theatrical monologue in which Larissa Corriveau will play a woman who tells, during her radio show Listening to an emotiona passionate story that she lived with a man.

During its next season, Espace Go will resume two pieces already presented, including The fury of what I think from November 8 to December 3. Imagined 10 years ago by Sophie Cadieux during an artist residency, this piece directed by Marie Brassard will allow the public to hear Christine Beaulieu, Sophie Cadieux, Larissa Corriveau, Evelyne de la Chenelière, Johanne Haberlin, Julie Le Breton and Anne Thériault bring the writings of Nelly Arcan to life.
In April 2023, the public will be able to (re)see Julie Le Breton in the play The Ten Commandments by Dorothy Dixwritten by Stéphanie Jasmin, directed by Denis Marleau and already presented last February.
