colddoes a bell ring? “Galician?” No, no, he was born in the province of Buenos Aires. Let’s go to the information: 24 years old, beautiful singer and songwriter who has crossed borders and comes from a tour in the United States. She also holds a rather atypical record: she is the first Argentine artist to support a North American tour (in this case, together with the legendary Mexican band Jesse & Joy).
With that favorable wind, he had the opportunity to tour 21 cities along with live entertainment in the months of March and April. That means: Miami, Orlando, Atlanta, Charlotte, Washington, Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Detroit, Chicago, etc.
He has been singing and playing guitar since he was nine, when he locked himself in his room to play songs by Beyoncé, Ed Sheeran or Taylor Swift. She lived in Pehuajó, like Manuelita, and in 2016 she settled in the Federal Capital. As she finished Veterinary CBC, she started uploading songs she sang in English. That’s how things started.

“The only real thing is what’s happening to me now,” he says. Cheap philosophy and rubber shoes? “No, I’m very chubby.”
After the release of the EPs cold (August 2021) and EP Slow motion (October 2021) the good news is that he has just released his first album titled VOYAGE14 songs with titles like I have no plan, no friends or enemies, tattooed, the image and a remix of This worldtheir first single of 2018.
Chule had the opportunity to open the shows of Shawn Mendez at the Movistar Arena and was able to show another of her facets by playing herself in the Netflix series millennials. The Saturday 24th June is presented in Lucilla (Headphone 5520).

-At the moment it can be said that you are better known abroad than in your own country?
-Nerd. I think I’m better known here. Or in Uruguay. I toured the United States, but I haven’t stopped being just a new artist playing.
-You have toured the United States, what is happening there in terms of music?
-I did a tour for a mainly Spanish-speaking audience. There were a lot of Mexicans or Puerto Ricans and what I have seen in the shows are more and more people who speak Spanish. I think it’s great because our language is globalizing and you can see Anglo artists mingling with our language.
– Interesting observation.
-It’s nice to speak in Spanish, it’s nice to sing in our language. Today I have the impression that it is not necessary to open the markets by singing in English.
– Bilingualism is very “third world”, isn’t it?
-Of course, I am not necessarily bilingual and English was, is, the global language. If you travel, you must speak English. Well, with Spanish in the US, that’s more or less happening. In Miami, for example, you don’t say a single word in English. Attention, I am not closed at all, but I do not think that to be successful today you have to sing in English.
The nickname and the like

-What does “Chule” mean, where does the nickname come from?
It is my nickname for life. My father has called me that since I was born. I did Instagram when I was 15 and used Chule. That’s when I started covering songs. Actually my name is Sofia Von Wernich.
-Which music scene are you interested in?
-Mmmm, with the anxiety of hitting him, maybe everything seems to turn on the same side. I’ve always liked pop music and I also like some more urban sounds.
-If you had absolute freedom, what music would you make?
I do what I feel. The pop is there, I don’t want to lose sight of who I am or what I do. It’s all about trial and error until I get to my voice, something I hear with every song I write. This makes me feel more and more at ease. All the while I change without leaving the DNA aside.
-How does it feel to be a singer, devote yourself to music and know that the “disco” object will not be part of your career?
-Ayyy, hahaha, I don’t say “I want a record” …! Now everything is more virtual. Who makes vinyl does it because he thinks it is something representative …

-But do the new generations know what an “album” is?
-Yes, well, sure, we release albums, but there is no trauma in that. And when they reward you you realize that they keep giving you “gold record”, even if I no longer believe that this is measured in sales but in listeners.
-Do you have to play live to earn a living with music?
-Yes, sure, but it’s rare: many people who don’t sell tickets live, later get a lot of interaction on a virtual level, with the most active networks. And vice versa: there are artists who do not have many followers and you go to see them live and fill everything …
– “I don’t have a plan” is called your theme. Something to do with your lifestyle?
-The truth is, hahaha, there is a lot to see. I’m a bit like that, I don’t have any kind of plan, I don’t stress a lot, I think in the short term.
-You write. Is it easy to be a songwriter?
-You can be an artist and do very well, but I think people connect differently with the artist who writes.
Urban music has Bizarrap across the board. It produces pretty much everyone and they all sound pretty much the same. Doesn’t this conspire against the artist’s content?
-Well, the producer was given a place as an artist, it was something that hadn’t happened before. With Biza it happens that he is a composer. I don’t really know if he messed with the lyrics, I’ve never been to any of his productions of him. Trap, rap, urban music in general is a similar style where the producers are just as important. Today the artist enters into a collaboration with Bizarrap, with the producer.
– You sing, act and are a model of some brands.
-Yes, these are things that have happened and always come back. in the series millennials I made myself. With brands I try to be an artist who takes pictures. I’m not a model, I don’t behave like that. It all adds up to the race. My priority is music.
