Augustino or enlightenment constitutes a long fragment of the text on which Marie-Claire Blais was working when she died. We find the writer Augustino in the middle of leprosy people, in India, while he himself is suffering from a form of leprosy of an unknown nature. He remembers the fate of his ancestors who died tragically in death camps.

According to Éditions du Boréal, these pages which will be the last of the cycle Thirsty are among the most beautiful and deepest of all the work of the great novelist.
