Ang April 19 to May 1 held the Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival BAFICI. In its 2022 edition and within 13 daysthe cinema returns to the traditional cinemas of downtown Buenos Aires, also seeking to support the reactivation of Corrientes Street.
It will have a program designed for all audiences: 290 movies with over 450 face-to-face functions of which 223 films will also be screened on-lineand more than 60 special activities, in more than 15 venues.

Reactivation after a pandemic
For additional information, the festival will promote and accompany the cultural and economic reactivation of downtown Buenos Aires. The mythical Calle Corrientes focuses on a large part of the city’s heritage: bars, bookstores, cinemas, theaters and their architecture, and the cinemas in downtown, a large part of Argentina’s cinephile history.

The central circuit of Corrientes includes cinemas Cosmos, Gaumont, Monumental Multiplex, Lavalle, the French Alliance and the Leopoldo Lugones Room. The circuit of the surrounding rooms will be completed by the Cinema Museum, the Usina del Arte, the 25 de Mayo Cultural Center, the Parque Centenario Amphitheater, the Art Spaces in Neighborhoods and the Buenos Aires Museum.

The opening is at the world premiere of Small flowersthe new film Santiago Miter. An adaptation of the novel by the Argentine writer Iosi Havilio, with a script written by Miter and Mariano Llinasstarring daniel hendlerMelvil Poupaud, Vimala Pons and Sergi López.
The Argentine short film will also be screened Now I know where to look for you from Diego Berakha which uses pictures of Google Earth to tell his life story: childhood in Spain and the journey he made when he was twelve years old and decided to move to Argentina, where his father lived.
BAFICI 2022. Selvagem Formula
