The actress Angela Bassett (“Black Panther”) has signed with Netflix to play the stepmother of Millie Bobby Brown (“Enola Holmes”) in the movie “Damsel”. The information is from Deadline.

In the film by director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (“Extermination 2”), a princess is shocked to discover that, after marrying her “prince charming”, she will be sacrificed to the dragon in the sacred cave of the kingdom in which she lives. She must survive until someone comes to save her – only no one is coming.

Bassett will play Lady Bayford, Elodie’s stepmother (brown). Dan Mazeau (“Wrath of the Titans 2”) wrote the film’s screenplay.

The premiere date has not yet been revealed by Netflix.
