Rage Against The Machine have been playing live again after almost exactly 11 years since then his last show was on July 30, 2011 at the LA Rising festival. The return was at the Alpine Valley Music Theater in the state of Wisconsin.

The band announced this meeting in 2019 and had everything set to start in March 2020, but the restrictions due to the pandemic forced everything to be postponed and rescheduled on several occasions. The latest delays occurred in January and February, when half of the US tour was moved to July and the other half was scheduled for 2023.

Following this debut, the North American leg of Rage Against The Machine’s “Public Announcement Tour” will continue in Chicago, with a series of consecutive dates at the United Center headquarters. The tour will continue until mid-August with another 16 concerts, and then the group will go to Europe with the opening acts Run The Jewels.

Upon their return to the stage, they played Rage Against The Machine The ghost of Tom Joada Bruce Springsteen song they used to do in the 90s and recorded on their 2000 album, renegades, her fourth and final studio album and her only cover album. But then they stopped playing it live, even though Prophets Of Rage did and so did guitarist Tom Morello in his solo shows.

The repertoire was explosive and powerfulfeaturing six tracks from their self-titled 1992 debut album, including classics such as Kill in the name, bullet in the head Y bomb track. There were four themes Empire of evilsince 1996, where on parade it was a highlight, and they also played five songs from The Battle of Los Angeles since 1999.

The European leg concert schedule of Rage Against The Machine’s new tour includes festival closures in Reading and Leeds and an outdoor show in Edinburgh.

Last month, Rage Against The Machine has promised to donate $ 475,000 to social organizations from Wisconsin and Illinois protesting the US Supreme Court ruling against the right to abortion. The sum was reached with the sale of tickets for the first shows of the tour. Previously, the band had issued a statement in support of the right to free abortion in the United States.
