“Wakanda Forever”: the moving trailer for the second part of “Black Panther”

Two years after the death of Chadwick Boseman, who played the hero of Black PantherThe second installment of the film was unveiled on Saturday in a trailer released at Comic-Con in San Diego.

“I am the queen of the most powerful nation in the world, and my whole family is gone,” says forcefully Queen Ramonda, wearing a black headdress, played by actress Angela Bassett. Her grief is shared by T’Challa’s sister Shuri (Letitia Wright) and her ex-partner Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o).

These images were revealed on Saturday during Marvel’s presentation at San Diego Comic-Con. In addition to the sadness of the heroines, you can see images of the underwater world of Wakanda, the fictional African country in which the plot takes place. Various threats also seem to weigh on this independent nation.

Tribute to Chadwick Boseman

Director Ryan Coogler, already at the helm of the first film, took to the San Diego stage with a group of African drummers and dancers during the trailer presentation. He paid a moving tribute to the star of the first film, the “fiery, great Chadwick Boseman.”

“I promise I can feel his hand on me right now,” Ryan Coogler said. “Chad is no longer with us physically, but his spirit, his passion, his genius, his pride in his culture and the impact he had on this industry will be felt forever.”

While no actor has been hired to replace Chadwick Boseman, his character’s outfit is worn by another lead from the film, as seen in the trailer’s final footage. His identity must remain secret until November 11, the premiere date of the second installment.
