The never-ending war: Angelina Jolie won a legal battle against ex-husband Brad Pitt for ownership of the French winery Chateau Miraval, where they married in 2014.

The couple took control of the renowned company in 2008 when they moved into the castle which is located in a Provençal vineyard. and since then Pitt has worked in the vineyards.

The castle and the cellars they have been at the center of one of the most heated legal battles of recent times among what was once the couple with the most media exposure in Hollywood.

Who owns the Chateau Miraval winery, now estimated at 167 million dollars and which together they acquired in 2008was the issue at the heart of the legal battle.

The dispute ended last night, when a Los Angeles judge ruled in favor of Angelina and against Brad.

In early 2022, it was reported that the actor is suing Jolie for selling her stake in the French vineyard they bought together.

The former partner had acquired a majority stake in Chateau Miraval in 2008 and they got married there six years later.

Pitt claims that he and his ex-wife have decided not to sell their properties at the venue without the other’s permission. But the actress still sold her stake to liquor maker Stoli, owned by a Russian oligarch, for whom she needed a set of documents in the actor’s possession.

The 58-year-old actor said he “invested money and sweat” to make Miraval one of the most respected rosé wine producers in the world. with an annual income of over $ 50 million and blamed Jolie46, to seek “an unearned fortune” from his work

This sparked a judicial battle in the United States, France and Luxembourg, but Jolie’s lawyers managed to sue Pitt’s and his business manager’s documents.

Although Brad’s legal team fought for the courts to deny Angelina’s request for documents and correspondence, a Los Angeles judge said Brad and his associates must turn over all documents to Angelina’s team.

Sources close to Jolie’s commercial operation said this Page six that Pitt was carried away by the grudge and the anger he harbored after their separation that allowed it to get in the way of his business.

“Any rational human being would be happy to have Stoli as a partner in their business. They have first-rate marketing and distribution,” the insiders said, explaining that the company offers tremendous opportunities to grow the business. “He can’t see past his hatred of Jolie.”
