In March 2021, the 38-year-old rapper was sentenced on appeal in Paris to 24 months in prison for the 2019 promotion on social media of a major deal point in the Parisian suburbs, the Caliweed network.

However, according to the rapper’s defense, the latter did not receive a letter about the adjustment of his sentence, for which he was executed. “The 24-month sentence handed down by the Paris Court of Appeal on March 9, 2021 was carried out on Thursday, July 21 (2022),” the Créteil prosecutor’s office confirmed to AFP.

Mister You, Younes Latifi by his real name, was therefore arrested when he was taking the plane to go to Morocco.

A sentence adjustment hearing will be held on September 21 in Paris, it added.
