Will Taylor Swift be the most polluting celebrity of 2022? According to a study carried out by the British sustainable marketing agency Yard, the interpreter of shake it off is at the top of the personalities whose private jets have produced the most carbon dioxide since the beginning of the year.
With 170 trips between January 1 and July 29, the singer emitted 8,293.54 tons of carbon, or 1,184.8 times more than the average annual emissions of a single person, according to the Yard report, based on data from the Twitter account. @CelebJetswhich automatically lists the private jet trips of the biggest celebrities.

Given these criticisms, Taylor Swift wanted to respond to the controversy through one of her representatives. Asked by the US media rolling rocksthe latter explains that the singer is not at the origin of all the 170 trips made with her Falcon 7X jet.
“Taylor’s jet is regularly loaned out to other people. Attributing most or all of those trips to him is completely inaccurate,” he said in the columns of rolling rocks.
In addition to Taylor Swift, boxer Floyd Mayweather is the second most polluting celebrity with 177 flights and 7,076.8 tons of CO2 emitted since the beginning of the year. Among the other personalities that appear in the top 10 of Yard we find the rapper Jay-Z, the country singer Blake Shelton, the director Steven Spielberg, Kim Kardashian or Oprah Winfrey.
