Antonia Morais will present the repertoire of the album “Ímpar 60”, with reinterpretations of the work of her father, Orlando Morais
The singer Antonia Morais will present his next show at Blue Note SP by Rolling Stone Novas Vozes.
The show will take place on April 20, and it will be the first time that the singer will play the repertoire of the album “Ímpar 60”, with reinterpretations of her father’s work, Orlando Morais.
Inspired by her father’s 60th birthday, Antonia decided to deliver a project with repackaged, modern and pop-filled versions of landmark songs by Orlando.
“Since I was little, I have seen myself in my father and I have always felt very intimate with his work. When I understood that I wanted to work with art, I chose ‘Morais’ as my artistic surname. It was a tribute and perhaps the harbinger that I would be a skittish artist, who doesn’t take the most comfortable path, let alone the most obvious,” justified Antonia.
The first single, “Costura,” is available on streaming and should be part of the setlist from the show at Blue Note SP. Check out an excerpt:
