The president of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, presented this prestigious title to the 26-year-old artist, who spent part of her childhood in this country with her parents.

Dua Lipa received a prestigious award. This weekend, the 26-year-old pop superstar revealed on her Instagram account that the president of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, had given her the title of honorary ambassador of the country.

“It is an honor and a privilege to be able to represent my country around the world and to continue my work and efforts globally to make sure we leave our mark and make a difference,” wrote Dua Lipa, who grew up in Kosovo and whose parents they are Kosovars and Albanians.

She makes our voice heard around the world.”

In her comment, Vjosa Osmani also wanted to thank the artist’s father, Dukagjin Lipa, who together with his daughter founded the annual Sunny Hill festival in the capital of Kosovo, Pristina. This year, the four-day music event kicked off on August 4 with the likes of Dua Lipa, J Balvin and Diplo headlining.
