Daddy Yankee, multiple award-winning for his records and also for his importance as a Latino in the United States.

This was announced by the Hispanic Heritage Foundation Daddy Yankee will receive the Legend decoration in the 2022 edition of the awards Hispanic Heritage Award.

The group will also receive The wolves and the Argentine actress Vittorio Alonso, president of Marvel Studios. More names may be added in the coming weeks, as the ceremony will only be on September 30th.

According to the foundation, this award is one of the most important honors awarded to Latins in the United States and is part of a program created by the White House to celebrate the contributions of Hispanics to the country.

The organization said Daddy Yankee is a legend for them for pioneering a genre of music that has taken the world by storm, as well as for the service he provided to his native Puerto Rico through his foundation, Daddy’s House.

“The Hispanic Heritage Foundation is delighted to honor Daddy Yankee with the Leyenda Award, who is so deserved for pioneering a form of music that has impacted the world. We are also honoring his service to our community through his work with his Daddy’s House foundation and working with organizations that support the needy in Puerto Rico and beyond, ”said José Antonio Tijerino, president and CEO of the foundation.
