Fish Scales, one of the members of the rap group Nappy Roots, was kidnapped Thursday in front of the restaurant he manages in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, before being shot as he tried to flee, reports the American media whose Billboard.
Fish Scales, whose real name is Melvin Adams Jr., was mugged Thursday morning outside his restaurant. His kidnappers took him to his house, from where he was able to dodge them, before being shot in the leg during his escape.
“As soon as he got the chance, he tried to run away,” Police Captain Christian Hunt told US media. “What we do know is that the suspects grabbed him and it was in that grab that he was injured.”

The 45-year-old rapper still managed to get help from one of his neighbors, while the suspects fled with $30 and some trinkets. Fish Scales was then taken to a hospital, where his injury was treated.
According to Skinny DeVille, another member of Nappy Roots, Fish Scales is doing better: “He’s safe and sound, and that’s the most important thing. We’ll keep you posted on the results of the investigation, within the limits of this.” the police allow us to say”.
