Since the announcement of their separation, in September 2016, the press had broadcast an alleged attack that would have occurred on a private plane in which the couple and their children were traveling. Los Angeles social services opened an investigation that concluded two months later with the actor being acquitted, according to NBC at the time. Another investigation, led by the FBI, was closed a few days later.
It is a report by the latter dating from that time, and obtained by CNN this week, which reports that Angelina Jolie did accuse her then-husband of hurting her and verbally assaulting one of her children. The American media specifies that the name of Brad Pitt has been erased from the document, but that there is several times a reference to the “husband” of the accuser.

One of them would then have replied: “It’s not her (who destroys the family), it’s you, the ******.” The actress then assures that she would have seen her husband rush towards one of her children, “as if she were going to attack him”, and that she would have prevented it by giving him a chokehold. Then he would have pushed her towards the armchairs. Angelina Jolie says that she was injured in the back, elbow and hand. Photocopies of these injuries, attached to the report, were published by some media.

After landing in Los Angeles, there would have been a new altercation between the two spouses, and the actor would have prohibited the family from getting off the plane for 20 minutes. The report says “that all parties have consented to no complaint being filed due to various factors.” Contacted by CNN, the FBI simply recalled “that no complaint has been filed.”
“All parties had this information almost six years ago and it was used in old legal proceedings,” a source close to Brad Pitt told CNN. “There is nothing new in this, and the only objective is to carry out a media operation with the aim of causing harm.”
Because the revelation of these documents comes in a particular context for the former couple: three years after the pronouncement of their divorce, the two actors continue to tear apart their common property and the custody of their children. In July 2021, Angelina Jolie was disbarred by a judge who had awarded Brad Pitt joint custody.
If she has never expressed herself publicly about this alleged altercation, Angelina Jolie has already had ambiguous speeches.
