In an interview with IGN, Matt and Ross Dufferpopularly known as the Duffer Brothers, have promised that the 4th season of “Stranger Things” will be the “your Game of Thrones season“.

The speech analyzes the scenario in which the characters of the series are scattered in different places after episode 8 of the previous season, entitled “The Battle of Starcourt”.

According to the duo, the new episodes of the series will spend more time in the Upside Down than any of the previous ones. “We were unable to enter the Upside Down last season due to narrative“, remembered Ross.

And this season, we really wanted to get in there and spend some time. That’s something we’re super excited about this season. I mean, we spent more time in The Upside Down than any other season.” promised.

“Every year we try to do something different. This was more of a horror season. We have our kids, they’re obviously in high school, and it felt very natural that they would be in a horror movie.”revealed the brothers duffer.

ON SEASON 4 OF “STRANGER THINGS”

The new year of the series will be set in three different places: Hawkins, Los Angeles and Russia. The first teaser shows how the life of Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) has become even more difficult since she moved to California and she still hasn’t been able to adapt well to her new school, even with the company of Will (Noah Schnapp).

However, she counts the minutes until the summer vacation, when she will be reunited with Mike (Finn Wolfhard) and old friends in Hawkins, without even imagining that Hopper (David Harbor) is alive and was taken by the Russians.

Meanwhile, Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Max (Sadie Sink), Steve (Joe Keery) and robin (Maya Hawke) investigate House Creel, where crimes were committed in the past and seems to be more connected to the mysterious events taking place in the city than they realize.

The fourth season of “Stranger Things” will be divided into two volumes, with the first wave of episodes arriving on Netflix on May 27, 2022. Volume 2 enters the catalog of streaming approximately a month later, on the 1st of July.

“Stranger Things” has already had its fifth and final season confirmed by Netflix.
