A great revenge for the students of the Soufflenheim and Pfulgriesheim colleges in Bas-Rhin. These students with disabilities, who last June produced a clip called Together, to change the perspective on disabilities, in fact they have received messages from Jean-Jacques Goldman. He is featured prominently on the university’s website.
“Congratulations to everyone for this great song TOGETHER! To the students of Albert Camus, to the teachers, to the musicians and to the directors! The project and the song are good! Thank you! Friends. JJG”, he told them by written.
In this song, young students address their disability, dyslexia, dyspraxia, autism or cognitive disorders with their words.
“Touched by texts written by children”
“The volunteer students of the Ulis devices [ndlr: Unités localisées pour l’inclusion scolaire] from Soufflenheim College, Pfulgriesheim and Soufflenheim Elementary School embarked on the creation of a song and a clip about the various visible and invisible disabilities found in schools, sports circles and in society”, we can read on Youtube .
“I have autistic disorders, I don’t understand facial expressions / You find me strange, I can see it in your eyes”, children sing in Together.
Jean-Jacques Goldman, himself the author of a song called Together, was moved by the message of these students. “I know that he is sensitive to everything related to education and difference. We sent him the model of the project at the beginning and he was moved by the texts written by the children,” Céline Ledru, professor librarian at Albert Colegio Camús, explains to France Bleu.
Connection with the fans
The musician, retired from the stage and public life for several years, does not miss an opportunity to send words of encouragement or thanks for causes that affect him or his fans. Absent from the media, he gave an interview last January to high school students in the second grade.
In 2020, he had written to the caretakers in Besançon and Saint-Viaud in Loire-Atlantique. And in general he regularly responds to those who write to him, thus maintaining a bond with his fans, despite his absence.
