Lino Patalano died this Saturday at the age of 76. Yesterday at 20:00 family, friends and colleagues came to the Maipo Theater to say goodbye. On the morning of this Sunday, his remains were transferred to the Chacarita Cemetery.
Yesterday, after learning the sad news, the Maipo Theater suspended its performances this Saturday and opened its doors so that the entertainment world could fire Patalano. “Please don’t send flowers and make a donation to the Casa del Teatro instead”they asked the institute.

Patalano he had undergone a hip operation a week ago from which he was recovering favorably. But on Saturday morning he suffered a failure.
Confirmation of the sad news was spread on Twitter by the official account of the Comafi Multitheater, owned by Rottemberg.
“The surprise death of Lino Patalano deals a painful blow to the art community,” announced the tweet. “From this Casa del Teatro we will accompany your family, friends and colleagues in these sad hours”.
Inextricably linked to the Maipo Theater and all its stories, Patalano was born in Italy in 1946 and arrived in Argentina with his family when he was just five years old.
In his career as a producer, the first steps of María Elena Walsh, by Astor Piazzolla, by Mercedes Sosa, Nacha Guevara, Julio Bocca, Antonio Gasalla, Carlos Perciavale, Niní Marshall and many others.
