Amazon has commissioned a series of sequels to Blade Runner. Apparently the series entitled 2099 runner blade was announced “in development in mid-February”, while Ridley Scott, its director, revealed that the project was actually already “underway as of November 2021”. as reported Variety.
The exact plot details are being kept under wraps, but the title indicates that the revisable deal will take place. 50 years after what happened in 2049 runner bladethe 2017 sequel to Blade Runner original.
Michele Verdethe co-author of 2049 runner bladehe will also be executive producer.
