Quebec reports a further decrease in hospitals in COVID-19

The number of COVID-19-related hospitals in Quebec has dropped again. According to raw data published by the Ministry of Health on Sunday, the number of patients in hospitals due to coronavirus has risen from 2,371 to 2,344. There were 90 people in intensive care, 1 more than the day before.

Ministry of Health tables can be confusing. Thus, the one related to the history of confirmed cases mentioned only two new deaths.

However, if we examine the table of confirmed cases broken down by region, age group and gender, the number of deaths is more than 20.

The Ministry of Health also reports 825 new cases since the previous assessment.

As for the number of active cases, it will reach 25,719. The number of cases listed does not represent the situation, however, because access to screening centers is limited to client priorities.

The vaccintrackerqc.ca site, which tracks the progress of the vaccination campaign in Quebec daily, reports that 28,886 doses have been given in the past 24 hours.

The percentage of people aged 5 and over who received the first dose was at 91.38%. It was also reported that approximately 87.59% of the Quebec population received a second dose and approximately 58.67% received a booster dose.
