COVID-19: Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean hospitals drop

COVID-19 is still missing in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean. The number of hospitalizations dropped while the number of deaths was stable.

The National Institute of Public Health of Quebec (INSPQ) reports a total of 52 patients with COVID-19 were hospitalized in the region, three down from Friday. Three of these people are being treated in intensive care.

As for the number of victims, there are still 428 since the pandemic started in the regional territory.

The INSPQ reports the presence of 649 active cases in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, nearly 140 less than on Friday.

The Integrated University Health and Social Services Center (CIUSSS) reports 26 new coronavirus cases confirmed by PCR test and 7 self-reported cases in the past 24 hours.

In Quebec, public health reports 16 fewer hospitals and 4 more deaths.
