A user named Colin Sullivan shared on Facebook the confusion of a small rat who unconsciously ate a marijuana leaf and fainted when the plant had an impact on its tiny body.
The video, which was shared in 2020, has gone viral again in the past few hours.
Sullivan, from New Brunswick, Canada, where cannabis is legal, he said he found the rodent pinching leaves from his plants for two days straight. Four photos show that the mouse bit the stem of the plant’s leaves before the substance took effect.

Because of the rat’s hunger, the animal ate all the leaves of the plant and fainted within minutes.
Photos taken shortly after show a rodent lying in the middle of a pile of leaves, completely unconscious. Colin decided to put the animal in a cage where he started it on a “rehabilitation program” to keep it away from the plants long enough for it to recover.

Six days later, the rat returned to the wild. in 2020, Colin posted about the discovery on Facebook, “For two consecutive days I found out this kid was taking leaves from my plant and eating them until he fainted.”
“I’ll let him sleep this time, but when he wakes up he becomes serious.” Two days later, Colin posted an update on the mouse situation, with the mouse in a cage.

“So it’s been a rough few days for our little friend and despite a stomach ache I think he’s going to be fully recovering.” Three days later, after the “rehab” stint, Colin shared the news that he was ready to release the mouse.
After a long and desperate battle with addiction, this little man had picked up the bones and stalks and was ready to hit the ground again.

Cannabis became legal for recreational use in New Brunswick when the Cannabis Law went into effect across Canada on October 17, 2018.
The minimum age to consume, purchase, plant or possess cannabis for recreational use is 19 years, but it should not be consumed in a public place or in a vehicle.
