The latest report from the Global Institute for Water Security shows that the presence of COVID-19 increased 44% in the wastewater city of Saskatoon last week compared to the previous week.
This figure is the opposite of the trend observed by researchers at this institute two weeks before. Research has indicated that the presence of COVID-19 decreases.
This recession worries University of Saskatchewan professor of toxicology John Giesy.
” So it is too early to say that we have passed the peak of 6at wave of pandemic. “
Downward trend in Prince Albert and North Battleford
The report ofGlobal Institute for Water Security shows that the presence of COVID-19 in Prince Albert has dropped by 58.2% since last week. A decrease of 24.4% was also observed in North Battleford.
The latest data on the presence of coronavirus in Regina will be made public on Monday afternoon.
John Giesy added that samples will be sent to the National Microbiology Laboratory in Winnipeg, to determine the presence of new BA.3, BA.4 and BA.5 subvariants of Omicron.
