Three more deaths associated with COVID-19 in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean

Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean now has 52 patients with COVID-19 hospitalized at one of its health establishments, one less than on Monday. However, three coronavirus -related deaths were added to the regional toll.

The total number of victims since the pandemic began is now at 431.

Three patients were treated in intensive care from 52 hospitals reported.

The National Institute of Public Health of Quebec (INSPQ) reported the presence of 601 active cases in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, representing a decrease of approximately fifty cases.

The Integrated University Health and Social Services Center (CIUSSS) in the region there were 23 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed by PCR test and 8 self-reported cases.

In Quebec, there were nine fewer hospitalizations, but 35 additional deaths.
