Slight decrease in COVID-19 cases and deaths in Nova Scotia

The number of deaths and hospitalizations caused by COVID-19 in Nova Scotia has dropped slightly, we will see on Thursday in the new epidemiological summary distributed by the provincial Ministry of Health.

The province publishes this epidemiological summary every Thursday. Positive results discovered in a quick test such as those made at home do not count.

There were 18 deaths from COVID-19 in the province from May 3 to 9, compared to 22 and 24 in the two weeks before.

From May 3 to 9, 65 new people were hospitalized because of COVID in Nova Scotia. There were 77 new hospitals in the week of April 26 to May 2.

Also from May 3-9, Nova Scotia Laboratories gathered 3,118 positive test-confirmed results. PCR. This is an average of 445 new cases per day, compared to 487 last week.
