COVID-19 kills 24 a week in Nova Scotia

COVID-19 killed 24 other Nova Scotia residents, the provincial Department of Health reported Thursday in its epidemiological summary for the week of May 10-16.

There were 18 deaths last week. In the second week of May, therefore, we will see a return to the mortality levels observed in April, when Nova Scotia was in sixth wave peakas stated by the provincial government.

Continued decline in hospitals

However, the number of hospitalizations caused by COVID continues to decline in the province. There were 59 new patients hospitalized with the disease from May 10 to 16. There were 77, then 65, in the past two weeks.
