Decrease in hospitals and active cases associated with COVID-19

The week will begin under the sign of improvement for the COVID-19 analysis in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean.

There were 37 people with COVID-19 at the hospital, compared to 39 on Friday, when the last assessment was done. A person is being treated in intensive care.

The death toll remains stable at 441 in the regional territory.

The National Institute of Public Health of Quebec (INSPQ) has 312 active cases in the region at present.

Regional data indicate that 67 more people tested positive by PCR tests in the past three days. Three people also declared positive.

Across Quebec, public health authorities are reporting a drop in five COVID-19-related hospitals and no new deaths.
