Public health reported Friday that 1,177 people were hospitalized in Quebec because of COVID-19, 5 less than the day before.
Of this number, 33 patients were in intensive care, 4 more than the previous report.
According to data from the Ministry of Health and Social Services (MSSS), 41 additional COVID-19 patients were admitted to the hospital in the past 24 hours, while 46 patients were discharged.
No patient has died of COVID-19 since the previous day. The number of disease -related deaths has remained at 15,412 since the pandemic began.
Quebec also listed 350 new cases of infection, bringing the number of confirmed cases in Quebec to 1,065,682 since February 2020.
The positivity rate is at 6.1% in Quebec, according to the latest data from the MSSS.
However, the number of cases identified does not represent the situation, as access to screening centers is only possible for groups considered priority.
So far, more than 91% of Quebecers aged five and older have received a single dose of the vaccine for COVID-19, 55% have received the third dose and 14% the fourth dose, according to data from Ministry of Health and Quebec Social Services. .
