Quebec public health reported Friday that 1,067 people were hospitalized because of COVID-19, 38 less than the previous day.
Of this number, 28 patients were in intensive care, 4 more than in the previous assessment.
According to data from the Ministry of Health and Social Services (MSSS), 63 additional COVID-19 patients were admitted to the hospital in the past 24 hours, while 101 were discharged.
Two other patients also died of COVID-19, bringing the death toll to 15,435 since the pandemic began.
Quebec also listed 542 new cases of infection, bringing the number of confirmed cases in Quebec to 1,068,147 since February 2020.
The positivity rate is 8.5% in Quebec, according to the latest data from MSSS.
However, the number of cases identified does not represent the situation, as access to screening centers is only possible for groups considered priority.
So far, more than 91% of Quebecers aged 5 and over have received a single dose of the vaccine for COVID-19, 55% have received the third dose and 14% the fourth dose, according to data from Ministry of Health and Quebec Social Services. .
