Manitoba’s weekly test positivity rate dropped to 10.8% from 13% last week.

However, four outbreaks were declared last week, including three in long -term care facilities.

The outbreaks took place at Tabor Home, St. Louis. Paul Personal Care Home, Calvary Place Personal Care Home at Concordia Hospital, N1 North Unit.

A total of 337 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed through laboratory tests, a decrease from 416 cases confirmed last week.

It is important to note that this is an undercount of the actual number of cases in Manitoba, due to the lack of access to polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing, the only type of testing registered in the province.

Last week, provincial laboratories conducted a daily average of 624 tests.
