COVID-19: 11 more died and 92 were hospitalized in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean
Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean had 11 more deaths than Thursday due to COVID-19, for a total of 404 people who have died since the pandemic began more than two years ago.
This is according to the latest analysis by the National Institute of Public Health of Quebec ( National Institute of Public Health of Quebec INSPQ ), published on Tuesday.
Currently, 92 people are in hospital after contracting the coronavirus, one less than on Monday. The region had 1,148 active cases and 81 new cases declared by PCR test in the past 24 hours.
The Integrated University Health and Social Services Center ( Integrated university health and social services center CIUSSS ) of Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean reports 443 new cases identified during the Easter long weekend.
In comparison, Quebec recorded a jump of 18 deaths and 61 ongoing hospitalizations, out of a total of 1,181. The province has 27,356 active cases.
