A motorcyclist was killed in a car collision with Mirabel

A 60 -year -old motorcycle was killed on Friday following a collision with a car. The accident happened on Arthur-Sauvé road, in Mirabel, in the Laurentians region.

The man was taken to a hospital, where he was confirmed dead.

The event took place around 6 am Friday morning, on Arthur-Sauvé road, between Verdon road and Belle Rivière street.

Another person involved in the accident, a woman, sustained minor injuries. We are not afraid for his life, said Captain Jean-Simon Montminy, of the Mirabel City Police Department.

The cause of the accident on Friday afternoon is not yet known. The City of Mirabel Police Department investigation was launched along with the coroner.

The Arthur-Sauvé road was closed in this area to allow investigators to do their work, before reopening to traffic.
