Convoy to Ottawa: Hundreds of additional police officers could be deployed

In a special session Wednesday night, the Police Services Board (PSB) voted for a motion allowing the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) to benefit from the assistance of 200 additional officers from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) , “if necessary. arises”, in anticipation of the motorcycle convoy scheduled for the weekend.
