Montfort Hospital in Ottawa was confined and ambulances were temporarily moved Thursday afternoon.
At approximately 2:30 pm, the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) received a call about a potentially armed individual at Hôpital Montfort.
The establishment was detained and ambulances diverted, while police searched the area.
Alert removed after two hours. No one got hurt.
At 4:25 pm, the situation returned to normal when the police declared the incident over, and the hospital was safe for our patients and the staff of Hôpital Montfort.said Hôpital Montfort on its Twitter account at the end of the afternoon.
The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) has not made any arrests.
Officers believe the man left the facilitysaid by OPS in a written response at the end of the day.
