With the trial in connection with Ayrton Climo’s karting accident coming to an end, the family of the American driver is already submitting their lawsuit against the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières.
This withdrawal was accepted on Friday morning by GP3R, in court. Each party will therefore assume the costs associated with this case.
The Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières has always maintained that it has no connection to Monaco, but its request to the Superior Court not to be included in the lawsuit was rejected in 2019.
GP3R general manager Dominic Fugère, who was called to testify this week before judge Philippe Cantin, explained that his organization lent equipment and bleachers to Monaco, as a good neighbor, but was not involved in any way in this event.
The agreement was reached on Friday morning. Next Monday, the parties will make their final submission on this lawsuit for damages of more than $ 26 million.
The case has been heard at the Trois-Rivières courthouse since April 19.
