Member of the board of directors of Audeamus, Jules Bérubé discusses this with Katia St. Jean.

Audeamus is a non-profit organization that provides service and therapy dogs to those who participated in the war.

He explained that a guide dog is for the blind or for people with physical disabilities.

Service and therapy dogs are for people with trauma such as post-traumatic stress disorder.

Audeamus dogs are trained with their new owner to meet that person’s specific needs and challenges.

Jules Bérubé added that Audemus is doing research to support that dogs are human best friends, because an unparalleled connection has been formed with this animal.
