Chocolate bunny used as a weapon in Brandon’s business theft

A man has been charged with robbery and assault after a chocolate bunny struck a vendor at a store in downtown Brandon, Manitoba.

This story sounds like an April Fool’s joke but it’s very serious. In a statement, Brandon police said they responded to a call about an attempted burglary at a business on Victoria Avenue around 4 p.m. on Thursday.

A store employee arrested the 27-year-old suspect, but the latter attacked him as Mr. Solid chocolate bunnysaid the police.

The employee suffered from minor injuriesresume by the authorities.

The suspect quickly fled and was immediately arrested with stolen goods at the store.

He was charged with assault and theft under $ 5,000 and is set to appear in court on June 2nd.
