The body of a child was reportedly found in a trash can outside a home under renovation in Toronto’s Rosedale neighborhood.
This is what police sources told CBC News.
Officials confirmed they called near the intersection of Castle Frank Road and Dale Avenue, north of Bloor Street East, around 4:45 pm Monday.
They found a corpse in the container.
Investigators have not yet confirmed the exact gender or age of the victim, according to spokeswoman Laura Brabant. However, sources say it was a child.
His death is being considered suspiciousbut is not considered homicide while pending autopsy results, he said.
Ruben Shiffman has lived in the neighborhood for nearly 20 years. He told CBC News that the house where the container was placed has been under renovation for several years.
Officers are currently inspecting the area, calling anyone with information to contact them.
