A residence sustained extensive damage following a fire on 4th Avenue West in La Sarre on Tuesday afternoon.
The cause could not be established at this time. The director of fire prevention and civil security, Luc Goudreau indicates that the file has been forwarded to the Sûreté du Québec because the extent and speed of the fire.
He states that the homeowner was injured when the fire came. Fortunately, we are not afraid for his liferefers to the spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec, Nancy Fournier.
Fire scene technicians reviewed the scene Wednesday morning.
Evacuations
Firefighters had to evacuate to a nearby senior residence. The wind pushes the smoke towards the dwellingrefers to Luc Goudreau.
Residents were moved to the community center opposite in about an hour.
Emergency services were contacted after 2 pm on Tuesday. Firefighters controlled the blaze after about 20 minutes.
