Two vehicles were damaged in a suspicious fire in Dollard-des-Ormeaux

Two vehicles were severely damaged by a suspicious fire that broke out Thursday night on the northwest island of Montreal.

The Montreal Police Department (SPVM) reports no injuries or arrests.

Authorities were notified of the fire through several calls made around 2 am to 911. A car was burning at the private entrance of a residence located on rue Malard, near the intersection of rue Alouette, in Dollard-des-Ormeaux. .

The fire soon attacked another car parked nearby.

Firefighters from the Montreal Fire Department (SSIM) eventually extinguished the fire and returned the investigation to the arson squad of SPVM due to the dubious nature of the incident.

The burnt corpses of the two vehicles will be combed by investigators.
