The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) reports three armed pizza thefts that occurred between April 23 and May 3, 2022 in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. The victims were all threatened with bladed weapons, but none of them were injured.
According to RCMP
the first of three thefts occurred on April 23. A driver was on Oak Bay Street delivering pizzas when a man approached him.The suspect threatened the delivery man with a knife and then stole the pizzas. Then he fled on foot.
A second theft of the same nature occurred a little over a week later, on May 1. Another driver was on 10th Street Northwest delivering pizzas there.
A man approached the driver, then threatened him with a machete. The suspect then stole the pizzas and fled again.
Two days after the flight, on May 3, the RCMP
responded to a call about the third pizza theft that occurred in similar circumstances.Aside from the pizzas, the suspect stole the driver’s vehicle, a white 2016 Honda Accord, while the victim was riding in the Wilkinson Crescent.
