A 46-year-old woman was stabbed by her husband Thursday night in Quebec’s Beauport borough.
He was allegedly stabbed just before 11 pm by a 51-year-old man in an apartment building on rue Sainte-Cécile, near Fargy Park.
The victim, who reportedly left the residence alone to seek help, sustained non-fatal injuries.
Stop at the spot
The suspect was arrested at the scene by police. He remains incarcerated pending his appearance at the Quebec courthouse. He will be charged with attempted murder and breach of probation.
The Quebec City Police Department confirmed Friday morning that it was a case of domestic violence.
According to our information, a girl was present at the residence where the attack took place. He would have been entrusted to relatives.
