Manitoban was found dead on the Trans-Canada Highway in Saskatchewan

A 41-year-old Manitoban was found dead on the Trans-Canada Highway east of Regina, Saskatchewan. The Indian Head RCMP suspects that the victim was hit by a vehicle on Thursday night.

The body was discovered in the eastbound passing lane around 6:30 a.m. Friday, three kilometers west of Sintaluta, located 80 kilometers east of Regina.

The highway section was temporarily closed as RCMPIndian Head conducts its investigation. Forensic science teams went to the scene.

Police authorities have not yet identified the victim, but it currently intends to notify the family of the deceased.

The police department is asking the public to provide information if it will help resolve the investigation.

If anyone sees the man between 8:00 pm Thursday and 6:00 am Friday, they will be asked to contact the RCMPIndian Head at 306-695-5200.

The man was wearing a dark dress, red sweater and blue backpack.
