A woman with a driving disability while two children were aboard her vehicle was arrested Sunday by Saguenay Police Service (SPS) officers.

The custody of the children, who criticized the driver’s plight at a convenience store clerk, likely made it possible to avoid a tragedy.
The 32-year-old woman is already subject to a driving ban. He stopped in the parking lot of a Jonquiérois business around 7:40 pm not in a driving condition.

The breathalyser determined that he was driving his vehicle despite having a blood alcohol level three times higher than the legal limit.
The driver was detained pending his appearance on Monday. The children were cared for by a family member.
