Montreal police arrested 10 people last week during a crackdown on a drug trafficking network that mainly runs west of the metropolis.
According to the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), the arrests were made in a series of searches conducted in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, in the boroughs of L ‘ Île -Bizard –Sainte -Geneviève and Pierrefonds – Roxboro, in downtown Montreal and Quebec City.
Seized various weapons, including four firearms, in addition to $ 100,000 cash and more than $ 200,000 narcotics and drugs, including cocaine, crack, Xanax, Dilaudid, isotonitazene, Viagra, methamphetamine, hashish, cannabis and hallucinogenic mushrooms .
All defendants in this case appeared in court last Friday at the Montreal courthouse.
The main suspects arrested were Vincent Roy, 25, Mohamed Ali Hraoui, 24, Alexandre Grigoras, 24, Bradley Provencher, 23, and Ajay Ambreya Singh, 24.
They faced several counts in connection with the possession and sale of narcotics as well as the illegal possession of firearms.
The five other people arrested, three women and two men, would have played a secondary role within the network.refers to SPVM in a press release.
